Planning a Fourth of July BBQ? This Shopping List Will Ensure You Do Not Forget Anything

Want to lead a life well-lived? Start by engaging your mind with interesting, informative material, as these tips and tricks from Avenue 80 Apartments in Overland Park, Kansas!

For example, the Fourth of July marks the mid-point of summer break for many school children, meaning the summer festivities are in full throttle. So, what better way to celebrate all things summer – and our great nation – than with a Fourth of July party or cookout? The first thing is first – you have to think about the food you’ll serve to your friends and family members at your party!

Kick everything off with some light appetizers — your usual suspects are all here: deviled eggs, chips and dips, veggie trays, sliced watermelon, and perhaps, some cheese and charcuterie nibbles. Next up, the drink station! Make sure to keep the water flowing with ice-cold bottled water. You should also provide a selection of drinks, like sodas, lemonade, fruit punch, and so forth. Don’t be afraid to get creative! Keep a stack of festive Solo cups nearby, along with a Sharpie to avoid any cup mix-ups. This is especially important, as the coronavirus pandemic is not over!

Getting down to business over at the grill, you’ll want to offer plenty of meat selections, with ground beef for burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and many vegetarian and vegan options, if necessary. Don’t be shy with condiments or toppings, either! Of course, you’ll want to have some sides on hand, too. Think potato salad, corn on the cob, and/or grilled asparagus.

Last, but not least, don’t skimp on dessert. Whether it’s store-bought or homemade, it’s important to offer a few selections to your guests, such as cookies, brownies, and cupcakes – or, cooler options, like ice cream or popsicles to make the summer heat a bit more bearable.
