2020 marks the triumphant return of the best event in basketball! Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Championship comes to Kansas City for the first time since 2012 and the 12th time overall. The championship will be held at Kansas City’s Municipal Auditorium within the Convention Center from March 12th to 15th. Don’t miss it!
Kansas City was the initial host of both the men’s and women’s championships in the first six years of the Conference (1997-2002), and again in 2005, 2008 and 2010-12. The men’s postseason event has continued its run in KC since 2010 while the women’s Championship will return in 2020 to Municipal Auditorium—where it has been played each year the women’s Championship took place in Kansas City and will continue to do so through 2024. Baylor claimed the title in 2019 after defeating Iowa State in the championship game, 67-49. This was Baylor’s eighth title in the last nine years.
